I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
